Project Engineer - Design

EMERSON Automation Solutions, dba Rosemount Specialty Products LLC, located in East Wenatchee, Washington, is currently looking for a Project Engineer - Design to join our team.
Rosemount Specialty Products LLC, an Industry Leader in Pressure and Temperature Measurement, manufactures highly accurate, state-of-the-art pressure instrumentation, pressure transmitters, temperature probes and sensors for some of the world's most vital and technologically-advanced industries.

Provides technical leadership in the development of complex technologies, products, and processes to meet quality, performance, cost, and schedule goals.
Preferred Experience or Knowledge:
Mechanical or Aerospace Engineer Degree preferred
Experience with 3-D modeling of parts and assemblies (Solidworks knowledge preferred).
Understanding and application of Finite Element Analysis (FEA) to verify design and its ability to withstand customer loading (vibe/shock, thermal, pressure, fatigue, etc.)
Knowledge of Aerospace requirements component evaluation, MTBF analysis, part stress analysis (EEE components), and fatigue analysis beneficial.
1. Applies technical expertise, commensurate with formal training and limited job experience, in the development of products and/or processes. Work involves choosing between alternative proven technologies with some originality and moderate technical risk. Designs new products or major modifications to existing products having a few complex technical aspects. Complex work is subject to detailed review. Applies complete working knowledge of applicable technology and industry/company standards. Prepares all required technical documentation or data. Provides technical support of several products or a major part used on many products. Develops applicable processes.
2. Interacts on a regular basis with other functional groups and customers or vendors on technical and/or administrative matters. May be assigned project leader role involving coordination of manufacturing, quality, and purchasing activities on assigned projects. Assists Marketing by providing technical, cost, and schedule information. Cost estimates are normally reviewed by supervisor. May interact with customers regarding technical aspects of a project. Contacts may be unsupervised. Recommends resource commitments to customer and vendors.
3. Prepares detailed plans, generally spanning several months, necessary to complete assigned projects of moderate complexity. Develops and approves schedule milestones. Develops and coordinates manpower, facility, and equipment requirements for assigned projects.
4. Administers technical procedures. Assures Engineering Information System (EIS), Drafting Standard, and other design standards are met. Approves drawings and BOM's Acts as design engineering member of Material Review Board. Initiates and approves engineering change authorization. Is aware of regulatory requirements which affect design and manufacture of product.
5. Design optimization of mechanical components.
6. Read and interpret Aerospace, Military, and Subsea standards.
7. Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics for hydraulic and electrical systems, and reports.
8. Ability to prepare and submit reports that are in accordance with sound Engineering principles and judgment.
9. Some company travel may be required on occasion to meet with customers or travel to other EMERSON facilities.
Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Science from an engineering school. An ABET - accredited engineering degree is preferred.
Experience: Two (2) years of applicable experience.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
